Introducing my BritMums Live 2014 sponsor: childrenarewelcome

The little corner of my world that I set aside for blogging is growing, and it’s really, really, exciting!

Last month I won Elizabeth’s competition for the goldenticket to BritMums Live. The ticket was the brainchild of Kate who wanted to offer the BritMums Live experience to someone new. To say I was surprised to win is an understatement! I was so excited I think I grinned from ear to ear for about a week! Once the reality sunk in I decided I needed to put my professional hat on and look for sponsorship, and I’m thrilled to say that I’m going to BritMums Live as an ambassador for childrenarewelcome.

childrenarewelcome is a user-friendly site dedicated to highlighting child friendly places to visit in the UK. The site works around the idea that local knowledge is the best knowledge, and it plays host to a growing team of bloggers around the country (including me!) who write about what makes their region special. As well as keeping you up to date on places to visit in your local area, they cover product reviews and local events. You can find them on Twitter here.

So, over the next few months I’ll be taking Little E and Bean on some adventures and I’ll be sharing what we find on childrenarewelcome. We’ve already got a couple of favourite local haunts that I’ll be sharing on the site, but I’m hoping to discover even more family friendly places for us all to enjoy. This opportunity couldn’t come at a better time for us as we had to cancel our planned holiday this year *sniff* but rather than mope I’m going to focus on exploring our local area of Gloucestershire. It’s such a beautiful place and in the 3 and a bit years since I’ve become a mummy I’ve only really scratched the surface of what it has to offer families. I’m really looking forward to finding out more and sharing with you along the way. Bring on the summer and BritMums Live!
